does "shredding the gnar" sound tough? damn right. thats cause only the most hardcore riders can shred that shit and get away with it. that or walker texas ranger
Yeah. an gnar can be any feature if you think about it. It can be a super steep, soft, deep line, or the death cookies that fall off the side of you jumps after they groom them.
when you talk about ripping or shredding gnar, you have to say it in the same voice as Sean Penn in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" or Keanu Reeves in "Bill and Ted's..." you get the point. you basically have to make it sound like your mom huffed while she was pregnant with you.
All of those words that are made up for "Shredding ______" can just be summed up into one word. Shrelp. When you say, I shrelped the fuck out of a line the other day, people will back off and be like...that's some serious shit...use it sometimes.
Shredding the gnar means to rip it on snow in general.
Alot of people use it as a term for powder, but I think it works best as just snow in general.
Going to shred the gnar today, even if it's icy, it's still gnar.
or GNAR, play the gnar game in squallywood and you too will be "shreddin the gnar'. but then again, you can shred the gnar in day to day activities too. for instance, this morning i took the stairs three at a time. unnecisary? maybe, but it just brings the gnar shreddin to a completely other level, im really just that progressive
