SLC to ski hills... how far?

So I really want to ski this winter durring my work term so i've been applying everywhere. I applied for a bunch of positions listed on the UofU website. Anyway I was wondering, how far is it from SLC to most of the hills. and where does everyone go? Alta? Park City? Canyons?

Well salt lake city is pretty wide and tall so it depends on which part of the valley you are in. I would say an average is anywhere from 15-30 minutes from SLC to Alta/bird.

ya most mountains are like 30 minutes away from town....i heard brighton is way good but all my friends snowboard so ya i'd say alta

awesome. I found the UofU career services page and applied for a few of the business work terms offered. I already have 1 interview so hopefully i'll be able to poach one of these. How much do accoms usually run in the area? I wouldn't mind renting a room or something with some more poor college kids. do any of the mountains have like a season pass sharing deal or anything?

SLc is the cheapest ski town in the west to live in. And if you don't mind living in little tijuana you can pay next to nothing for rent.
