you know why you havent heard much bad about them, they haven't been out long enough to get much bad wrap. It takes a while to destroy a pair of skis (and all will get destroyed) unless you're gifted or something. I would personaly wait longer and see how the sticks really hold up, summer camp might say a thing or two. Then again most people only ski 6 days up there.
my advice, wait longer to see if they are gonna have issues, it's first year production. I'm sure they will be decent though because eric is a perfectionist.
