Help With Shinbang?!?!

i got mad bad shinbang and im not sure wtf to do about it, is there really nothing i can do, oh and how can i prevent it in the future?

Make sure no creases in your socks, make sure your boots are buckled tight, land centered, maybe try those booster straps, sounds stupid but shaving the hair off your shin can help.

The hair on your shins gets rubbing and pressed into your shin in boots and can be bothersome for some people.

also make sure your boots are snug on the lower ankle- mine aren't cause they're rentals and after like 5 days my shins allready kill

word so socks can make a big difference cuz i have shitty socks that are low and dont cover my leg

this is also gonna sound stupid, but land switch as much as possible, because when u land straight, most people are more in the back stance then flexed forward, so the ligaments in ur leg start to slowly rip off ur shin, eventually they can lead to stress fractures, and rest will do a lot to

Ice and the hot tub. Get some booster straps as well, and wear good socks. Boot fit can also cause it.

I got shinbang 2...i was told by a friend to use meduim think foam and duct tape it around your shin. He says it works for him, but i dont how much that is gonna help

when i tighten my boots my shins hurt worse..i just leave em lose like shoes and its not so bad..but i can prolly break my ankles pretty easily

^dont leave em loose because when you land your shin is gonna smash against the front of your boot and make it worse. having them tight will not allow your shins to bang around in your boot. just wear an extra pair of socks and tighten the bastards up

yeah, you gotta do your boots up as tight as possible. and make sure you dont sit back when you are just skiing normally, cuz if you sit back, and your shin isnt in contact with the boot, whenever you hit a little bump or something, your shin slams forward into the boot.

it might hurt for a little at first, but yoou gotta make your boots super tight, and make sure you got shin pressure, cuz shinbang happens when you lean back when you ski

replace your top straps with "booster straps". you can find them at most ski shops. they maintain constant pressure between your shins and the toung of your boots to eliminate shin bang.
