Ex-ray machines

Is it ok to send your Laptop or game system through an ex-ray machine. (an on going discusion, that needs your input)

well, I know that I've gone through the airport X-Ray machine for carry on luggage, and my laptop is still goin strong.

Yeah for sure the carry on luggage rxay things don't hurt laptops.

I know at some airports they have little handheld scanner devices. They use these on cell phones and other electronics devices.
