I find it alittle less comfy, but it makes you look alot less like a gaper. The only problem I have, is sometimes my goggles slide down to far, and get in the way.
i do it cause i have a mx.9 so i cant put my goggles up on the lift anyways..i dont mind it sometimes the goggles slide down of ur face but it looks fine and all.
i hate rckin goggles like that. not only do the strap buckles dig into the back of your head, but the goggle strap does nothing to keep the helmet in place, so it flops around more. if anything, it makes you look like more of a gaper just trying to be cool. the only reason people do that, is on helmets like the super uncomfy and played out luitentent (sp), goggle straps really dont fit over the brim. so wearing the straps under is the better option. the only time this would actualy make sense, is if you were just tossin your helmet on to try a trick or something, and didnt want to deal with changing the strap all around.
ya i got a bad lieutenant so i gota put the goggles under and it looks sick, but its a pain in the ass if ur goggles start foggin cuz u cant take ur goggles off w/o takin ur helmet off
I have a bad lt with wisdoms and wear the goggles underneath and truthfully I hate it. Goggles are always sliding, and I really hate not being able to lift my googles up without having to take off my helmet. I got a pair of crowbars so I'm looking at getting a hifi or something
my helmet clip ripped off but i still wear my goggles on top cause they keep my helmet on without me having to buckle it and its more comfortable. My helmet fits really nicely as well so the goggle slider thingy would dig into my head when i bash my head. it looks goofy anyway
i looked at my self on a video and i looked like an idiot with the strap over the helmet bacause it looked like i was wearing huge headphones over my ears. It looks good under and isnt uncomfortable
i bought my bern baker at the end of last season and it didnt fit this year so i ripped the foam out and wear a beanie which is much warmer and goggles under to fill the gap
I do it and have basically no problems with it. The goggle straps and plastic thingy don't bother me, and I find that my A-frames fit my face better just on my head, instead of over a helmet. I find that I feel steezier, although I don't like that when I put my goggles and helmet up to see w/o goggles, they fog sometimes...
big ass beanie and and big ass goggles over our forehead and helmet at the top of that pile. to make sure its steezalicious u must keep helmet strap unplug so the pile will fall apart if u try to move your head. its pretty funny in rails but at jumps u must grab your helmet too. hard and uncomfortable but so cool.
when i'm hiking, i like to have the strap under my helmet, cause it allows for some ventilation by holding the helmet a bit away from my head. when i's really cold though, I keep the strap on the outside, so my helmet will fit nicely and keep my head toasty.
just started rocking it this season, i have prodigys and an G10mx and they gap with the straps over so bam under they went, cant even feel the plastic clip on the back
My helmet (Bern Macon) is larger than my head is, and I lost the knitted insert too. So I wear a beanie under is, and then the goggles over the beanie, and finally the helmet. It fits nice and snug, and more padding when I smash my head against rails, the ground, etc. So I do it because of the fit, and I think it looks cool.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (think it was the Giro website) that wearing a hat/anything under your helmet reduces the impact protection and efficacy of the helmet by more than 50%...
