I know people take videos, but how do you avoid messing up the camera? Lats time i had a video camera, like 6 years ago, i brought into the cold then inside and it rusted up some circuitry

dont let snow get on it, it wont do anything right away but once you bring it back inside its the same thing as dripping water all over it. get a cover for it to use while filming

Try not skiing with it out (ie follow cams), or with it near the ground (say if your filming a rail) as the chances it gets snow is higher. Don't film when its snowing and make sure you brush off your jacket/gloves/wtv else before you pull your camera out.

make some sort of plastic bag to put it in, with a whole for the lense. and keep it away from moisture.

i have had mine since the beginnning of winter last year and i always use it on the slopes and nothing has happened. I think it might effect the older or cheaper cameras.
