theyre super anal this year cuz they said they were going to be... i wouldnt run the risk... just be nice to em and theyll be nice to u. be a dick and well... ull find out. its super icy out there and most ppl arent fully in control...
You may have noticed that they are only placing themselves in areas of really high traffic. Use your common sense and ski fast on the other 100 runs that they aren't on, and slow down on the ones where it makes sense too. Just because you are in control doesn't mean everyone on the run is.
Doesn't really matter if you ski the other 100 other runs, b/c they're at all the ski-outs...so eventually, you end up facing the mtn. safety at one pt. or another.
Either way, they're pretty anal this year. Icy or not, they're still pretty outta control. I'd say a 'power trip supreme', if i must. I've dealt with them for a few seasons now and I'd have to say this is the worst by far.
my favourite is the "raise the roof" motion they seem to use on occasion. They get very agitated when you do it to them. They wave their cute little arms like the trolls they are, then scurry around and talk on their radios. Good times!
theyre on the ski outs cuz thats where EVERYONE has to go... so it makes sense for them to control the speed in those areas. i like to rip down the ski outs as much as the next person... but it doesnt hurt to make a few turns in front of the mtn safety dudes...
what the dude said... all u gotta do is slow down 1 roller ahead of em... and u won't have a problem... its only around closing anyways... its not like theyre around in the morning
The thing that pisses me off is they yell at you for riding switch. I'm more in control riding switch than about 80 percent of the people on the damn mountain. They dont yell at people for sucking, so what the fuck.
Yes. If he was a couple lanes away, If it makes people nervous they should move out of the way a bit. If I were them I would be more nervous of a snowboarder, they have a bigger blindspot that they never check and no one never seems to realize this.
It's not even a matter of being reckless. If you're skiing on the side of a run, no one is near you, and you're in control - you DON'T need to be harassed by mtn. safety.
switch skiing should definitly be allowed anywhere on the mountain at all times. Why would I buy twintips If I wasnt even allowed to use them when ever I want for their true purpose?
there is one when we had snow back in the day... slingshot used to be a sweet speed run back... but hasnt had much snow on it last couple years and ungroomed...but hey if we ever get another 2m or snow down that low...
