i own both and i cant decide wich is better...s6 is neato but really short and tangerine dream is longer with a few boring spots in the middle but the beginning and end are insanely sweet especially india and switzerland and turkey.
that was a bit of a run-on sentence

You obviously have not seen many good ski movies. Shanghai Six is good but far from the best ever.

^You obviously don't know shit about me so don't make generalizations....PAL.
That is my opinion so cram it in your cramhole buddy.
You probably think TGR and MSP are "progressive" with all their big mountain riding and life stories to go along with every segment. Boriiiing.

yeah its kinda like comparing apples and oranges. shanghai 6 was like all urban, park and backcountry booters. Tangerine Dream was like all powder.
As much as i love to ski powder (i would go for powder over park anyday) i find it extremely boring to watch. Some parts in that movie were cool, but it was long and boring overall.
Shanghai Six was sweet, nice and flowy, good editing, sweet soundtrack, and creative. But they had alot of tha same hits over and over again. But i loved that movie.

You can still totally compare them based on entertainment factor. You know, like comparing Terminator 3 to a Carrot Top movie (action vs. comedy as opposed to park vs. powder) but one movie is definitely better...
I thought Shanghai 6 was really good but I haven't seen Tangerine Dream yet. Watching it tonight

A Carrot Top movie?! You needed to think of one funny movie out of every single movie ever and you think of the guy who did the 1-800 collect guy... you need to watch better movies

I just saw tangerine dream and thought it was sick. I was impressed by sage so much, and Dana flahr, who is he godamn he is good, a skier that is nailing a seth type approach to skiing, and by that i mean good as shit.

Tangerine Dream is better because it covers all aspects of skiing. Its not just 40 minutes of jumps, they have other shots. What a flick.

i hate it because in The Waiting Game some dude is throwing sick misty 7s off cliffs and other tricks, but all in all gets NO CREDIT.
i wish i could remember his name.

i think tangerine dream is my favorite movie ever made. while sh6 is good, i think the tangerine dream has more a "soulful" quality to it.

shanghai was sick, but a little repetitive. editing and cinimetography like always were sick. but tangerine was the best movie of the year of the...10 that i saw, there are two segs i dont like, but segments like the utah seg, and india trip, plus guys like sage, dana flahr and marc andre and dash make the movie so fuckin good
