Replying to Review: Scratch BC

Binding: Salomon 912 Ti

Skier: 5'6", 135 lbs.
Previous Skis: Prior Original, '05 K2 Public Enemy, '05 K2 Fujative, '05 K2 Seth Pistol, '04 Salomon 1080s, '04 LINE Motherships.

Flex: I wouldn't call them soft but I wouldn't call them stiff, they are a happy medium for me. If I had to chose then overall, they are on the stiffer side. Stiffer in the tail and underfoot, softer in the tip.

Groomers: They perform way better than I expected on hard pack, of course they are fat so they aren't as smooth as a GS ski but they do the job. Going from edge to edge is also a lot easy than expected.

Powder: They are great in powder, fat though, so I don't get as many face shots as I did on my PE's. They are hard on the legs when I'm charging but they obviously are great in powder. The softer tip is great, lots of fun.

Crud: Makes choppy shit it's bitch. This ski destroys everything in site. Better in crud than the Pistols.

Tight Trees: Hard on the legs but I can whip them around pretty damn good. I can go so fast in the trees and be in control and know where both my skis are. On my Enemies I would NEVER be able to go that fast and be alert like that. I wouldn't say that it's so much the ski, I'd say it's the length (another reason long skis are better).

Bumps: Bumps are gay.

High Speeds: No chatter what so ever. These things fly. As said before, I can rip on these skis and be in control. If I feel myself getting tippy I can just lean back and gather myself, don't even need a speed check. Great for ripping down groomers too.

Big Mtn: It's all about speed for big mtn shiz, and these mofo's can handle it. Off cliffs they feel stable as hell. They are a tad heavy for me so it helps alot for staying in control. The softer tip isn't a bad thing either, I was worried about that but to my delight it adds a little extra something. I do not know what that something is, though.

Park: I didn't hit any rails or terrain park jumps but off natural hits I can spin relatively easy. They are really solid landing switch too. I have Fujas for park so I don't use these in there but if they wonder in there one day, I won't be worried.

Durability: These skis are bomber. The topsheets don't chip but the bases are most impressive. I couldn't wait to get these babys on snow so I took them out opening day. Must have hit at least 57 rocks. No scratches deeper than a millimetre. The bases are TOUGH.

Overall: Would be a great one quiver ski. For all the Vicious fans, check this out. Very underrated. You won't be disappointed if you buy these. Buy them long though, even if you are a short ski fan.
