Ipod playlist help

i do i make a new playlist on my ipod...when i click the make new playlist down at teh bottom it shows up under my ipod but i dont know if its on it...and seeing as how ive already went through picking the songs out once and having the playlist disapear i turn to u guys for help

create all your playlists you want in your ipod exactly as you want them in itunes, then plg you pod in. It will be exactly as it is in itunes

highlight the song you want on the "on the go" playlist and hold down the middle/select button until the highlight bar blinks, then its on there

its easier to make them in itunes but i dont know why they would just disapear

i really cant help on this one other than just go to preferences and ipod and make sure the playlist is selected to update
