i think that they are good....i've been wearing one forever and i dont find one bad thing about them...they keep you safe, keep you warm, can have headfones built in, and can hold ur goggles so you will never lose them! ........i didnt care to read the thread so if any body has said reasons why they are bad or personal expierences ...dont yell at me

Mostly I wear a helmet, but on warm days/powder days I have my dope hat instead of a helmet. Sometimes I have with me in a sack.

I have never hit my head on rocks or anything, but there have been many times helmets have come in handy...slammed the door of a car on my friend's head (accidently) but he was wearing one. Also they are good because when tree branches scrape your head it's just a helmet; it doesn't take off a hat or anything.
