These skis are extremely awful for butters. I have recieved painful shin/cafebang from them. Im geuss alot of people have PE's...how do you like there flex?
I geuss i diserve it for compaining about how soft my ski were last year. I just wish i didnt have to wait 3 days between skiing to acctually do stuff because of shinbang.
no, they're not even close to "incredibly soft". they're probably stiffer than most twin tips out there. ever ski the Pistol? that's a pretty soft ski. the Vicious is NOT "incredibly soft".
if you want to be able to butter without putting your wait into it, try the ARV's
the only thing i have to say about that ski is holy shit problly twice as soft as the fujative, i have fujitives they are soft skis. arv's are like... damn
my buddy's sponsored by Head and says the Mojo is a piece of work. great ski, but so damn hard to even think about buttering. says it rides better than any other park ski he's been on, though.
if you mean like nosepress on boxes, stiffer skis are better for that, cuz if the ski flexes while you are on the mox you have to lean farther to keep from sliding off.
but for sure. you definatley gotta be a man to butter them. it takes alot outa you.
thats the thing. i want a ski i can butter with, but i want to be able to go fast and chrge you know? thats just not possible with a ski like the fugitive. i mean its not like a terrible all mountain ski, but some of the stuff ive been doing wouldnt be possibel with a ski that is that soft.
I totally know where your coming from. I ski stiffer skis becuase whenever I want to throw down off cliffs or charge steep lines, I dont want my $300 "flexy" skis with a "butter zone" shaking so much I eat it. Sure, these skis are some of the best skis you could have for the park, but I dont ski park 100% of the time. I ski park when theres nothing else to do.
yeah i just caant afford 2 pairs of skis. i might get my old trouble makers remounted for fucking around on but i know the edges are gonna be fucked so im not sure if its worth it. but at least i would get some new bindings out of it, so maybe next season i could have 2 pairs
yeah i got the same thing, i didnt really think it was from the ski, but i put the booster strap under the shell against the liner, and that worked well.
my PE's are the softest pair of skis i have owned. I have had two pairs of lines before the PE
coming from Lines, these butter so well, so i dont really care that much.
i think it might be the whole K2 line overall. i have the juvy's and i cant butter without the fear of breaking them, popping out of my bindings, or wreaking my shin
