From what i heard Alta got rid of it because it was on their land and after they saw how bad tanner got hurt they got scared that maybe someone would get hurt and sue...
So were guys asking alta to use it??? Or was it used without their knowledge this whole time and they just found out?
I'd imagine that you'd need their consent to use terrain on their land, right?
Someone thinks they did it cuz of how bad tanner got hurt? It's not like he broke his back or anything. He broke his foot, or ankles right? That's not that big of an injury considering what kind of shit happens to people just skiing groomers.
But who knows, there is a really good possibility that they might have actually got rid of it. I mean it is a huge liability issue. It's become pretty popular now, and I sure you wouldn't have to look extremely hard to find it, cosidering the general location is public knowledge. The last thing needs Alta needs is a couple dudes trying to sneak back there and get hurt. Personally I don't blame them if they destroy it.
Jeez, this is something i really dont like about america, that people sue for absolutley everything. I personally hate anyone who cant take responsibility for their own actions, and sue someone just because they can.
last year after tanner wrecked himself the alta patrol got rid of the booter (obv) but also like got all the snow off the landing so no one would try to hit it
Hmmm, it makes sense to get rid of it, but it also brings business and exposure to Alta. And you don't need consent to hit it. You don't even need consent to hike Alta. Its a national park or something i think, so the land is free for all.
Alta would'nt spend the money to remove the tailings. They tried to blow the kicker up after tanner got hurt, but it didn't work so the cat crew went up in a snowcat an mowed it down. That's all. It's still there, don't you worry.
im suprised, i dont see why they have the right unless it is owned by alta, which it seems like it is. if i were alta, i would just close it off ompletely and charge for use cause its so famous.
I dont see what the big deal is now its a new seasone with knew snow anyway so why does it matter that they blew up the jump last year. They would have destroyed it anyhow.
def not on alta property.... you can see mt superior from the road, you can fall down that and die.... i bet their gonna blow that up 2! i doubt they blew it up, its not on altas prop. they prolly fucked up the jump and landing as far as people being able to hit it that season, i would be very suprised if they did.
we'll when hiking in the backcountry..... WHICH IT IS, you take responsibility into your own hands, KIDS ON THIS WEBSITE just went their and sessioned the fuck up outta it, alta could see them for sure building it and what-not, im pretty sure they didnt contact alta.
I focking hate how people sue about everything. "oh fuck, i spilled hot coffee all over myself, dunkin donuts will pay" Umm your he idiot who spilled the coffee on youself
you cant blow up a gap, the defintion of a gap is that there is nothing there... if they blew up the landing i doubt it, isnt it for avi control or soemthing?
my boxers ripped this morning and when i went to zip up my pants i caught some pubic hair and it hurt like fuck i think i'm damaged for life - can i sue fruit of the loom?
