I just got a pair and they seemed a bit burlier and overall heavier than last season's. Anybody knows something about this, shouldn't they have the same specs since they are pretty much the same ski as last year's chronic???
^ didn't think last years were heavy at all, but this year's do seem heavy.
i haven't ridden them yet so i hope there won't be too much of a difference. has anyone been on these? how they feel?
same here, i still think they are just as light and responsive when i ski on them, carrying them is different, but they get edge to edge really quick...
yeah as i said, i haven't been on them yet. they only felt alot more heavier that 05 chronics when you carry them. 05 chronics were light as hell! skiing them and carrying them.
i'm only pointing out that 06 chronics feel much heavier when you carry them so i wanna know if there's a difference when you ride them.
not to hate...but doesnt heavier in your hands mean heavier on your feet? Obviously your hands are more sensitive so you feel the difference, but the effect on you skiing is the same, even if you cant feel it.
Technically...due to Einstein's theory of relativity, as the skis are generally moving faster while they're on your feet, they're actually marginally heavier that they are in your hands standing still.hahaha.
If they were heavier at the tip and tail they would feel different than something that was just heavy under the boot.
Having skied neither I can't say. However I'm going to try and get a set for super cheap to compliment my Karmas for days when I don't care if my gear gets trashed, and save my Karmas for the good snow days.
