i just got my line invaders, havent skied them yet, but here are my thoughts so far... they are pretty light wieght, not so light were they feel like they will snap your first jump, but still pretty light. But i ruined that because i have reactors lol, oh well. I have read when people say they have flewed them and they heard popping noises, well i also heard those but they sound kinda more like streching then a breaking noise. Hopefully it is just the lamination on the core stretching into place or w/e. Overall by flexing and holding them they seem like a pretty good/nice little ski. I will ride them for the first time tomorrow night and will add to this with a couple hours of riding them under my feet...
that noise is just the wood core flexing, it goes away after a day or two. by the way, i have reactors too and the siwng weight of the invaders is still fucking really low
yeah, the cracking is the epoxy crackin all skis do it, but most people had pre oredered the skis and they came right to you, so no one got to flex it before you, if your in a shop and they get new skis, and your one of the first to flex them, you will hear that noise too
i just got back from riding them and all i can put into words is they were great!! super fun ski!.. buttering is super smooth and easy.. the only real cons about it is what u get with any really flexable ski like really sharp carving isnt gonna happen and you cant really dig your edges in on ice.. i havent skied them on anything really big yet cause my mountain is just opening up pretty much so i am not sure how they will do on super kickers and stuff. i didnt expierence any de-lam or edges cracking. overall a VERY nice park ski! and they are ownly 300 bucks! which could foreshadow them falling apart in the future lol. but i highly doubt it.
