my car is leaking something and i'm not sure what, it is frustrating tho because it is a fairly new car and i find this happening quite frequently, i was wondering if this is a common problem found in cars, suvs wtv u may call it? so do u guys get this with ur cars too?
You should go have it checked out. I had an oil leak in my car at 40,000 miles and it turned out it was just the washer on the oil drain plug, so in my case it was no big deal. But if you havea new car that is leaking fluid, that's a problem that shouldn't happen and the dealership should take care of it.
did you get the oil changed recently? if you had a shop do it they may have spilled some and its just running down the outside of the engine. does is smell or seem kind of smokey after you start it? they may have also not tightened the bolt on the oil pan and its leaking. or it could be a number of things.
where is it leaking form, like the front or back, or in the middle. you said its brown, its either differental fluid or oil. possibly trans fluid if its real dirty, it sopposed to be redy colored. Maybe even power steering fluid. we need more of a description.
umm.. you should probably bring it to a reliable local auto mechanic, and ask them, whats wrong, and how much will it cost. Then consult your dad and maybe even a new mechanic for a second opinion.
