Marker Ski binding issues

I bought the 1200 free's and mounted them on my Chronics. As of the 3 times i've ridden i've managed to break both ski brakes twice. One was landing a 540 on like a 20 foot table and the other was a 180 on the same table 3 nights later. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with markers shit. also does anyone know what marker's warranty policy is like. I think i'm going to try and warranty them and get a pair of 4frnt deadbolts.

I have skied exclusively marker for the past 15 years - averaging 120-days a season and I have only broken one pair of bindings (the baseplate on the heel peices of my 14 frees)...as for brakes?
did you bend them yourself before they broke?
The mythology around marker bindings is outstanding, people trash their shit all day long and yet nearly ALL of the worlds best racers and MANY of the top dogs in our game use them even w/o sponsorship

no i didn't bend them at all, i put wide brakes on just to make sure i had clearance cuz the narrow ones we had in the shop clipped the edges. i don't know if this was just a freak thing that i landed the same way 2 times but i had my din at 10 when i broke em. i'm not knocking markers in any way other than the brake issues they've done fine thus far. i'm just wondering if theres something else that i need to do. i stepped my din up to 11 now and i'll see if that helps. i only weigh 160 pounds and am 6 foot so yeah 10 should've been ample.

I dont ski markers anymore, I broke 2 in 4 weeks. The heal ripped out of the track and cracked and shit. The ski tech said he never even saw that happen before so I just went to salomons which was the worst decision of my life. Get looks

my salomons have a distinct problem of releasing when they shouldn't. I'm not a huge fan

i work in a small shop and we replace at least a dozen marker brakes each season. the brakes are a huge problem with marker.

my shop did the same to my MSPs, and i put wide brakes on them but the brake came out from under the plastic thingy and it stayed that way and it sucked, so i just ripped of the brake (now my urban/backyard skis). though i got last years 12 frees for my new skis and they seem to be doing just fine. i love marker, they keep me safe

In the 90's I skied on marker and had nothing but bad luck with the product. springs would lose strength, bindings would release when they should not have, costing me some great concussions. I will never own marker bindings again. but if you like em' use em' i say they are shit.

i think marker bindings are generally a little heavy for jumping anyway. And I also had release problems with Salomons as mentioned above. Cant go wrong with Look or Rossi.

I have my Comp 12 Free's and love them. Early on they've held up fine. It could be the m100/200 series that gives a lot of problems.

I have had 2 pairs of looks. P10's and jib P12's. The brokes been fucked over on every binding. Broken Toe piece on one of the P10's.
P12's twice landed switch and heard huge popping sounds from my bindings. The plastic peice under the boot that rises when the ski comes off totally broke away from the metal and spring its attached too. now they just hang all limp. work maybe 10% of the time if i'm lucky. the other 90 my skis shoot off down the hill and if they don't take out random kids i'm bush wackin lookin for them.
moral of the story: bullshit overexpensive ski equipment designed for pussies.
