in Olympic Areals is there a rule about landing backwards? because the sksi they use arnt twin tips and i was wondering if someone came into the competition with twin tips and did 2 backflips and a 540 what would the judges do?
it would rate poorly because most of the field is doing 3 flips with 4 spins and crazy shit like that.
the landing is harshly judged as well, so it would have that working against it. i don't think the difficulty points would outweigh the loss of form.
they are not even on real skis dude, they are like 140s. most of those guys can't/don't ski at all anyway. many are converted gymnasts and divers.
eric b from the US team is one of the only real skiers of the group. a super old freeze (or was it powder?) had him in the park and it was sweet and funny.
dude, the landing hill for aerials is soooo steep and the tanny is soo killer, i had a hard time just riding out that tranny, let alone doign 4 backs and landing from 5 storys up.
