Anybody got the status on what is gonna be open tomorrow (the 14th), or when new terrain is going to be opened, what do they have to offer in terms of pipe, jumps, and rails right now?
BUMP. Can somebody please tell me what the status is on the Vail and Beaver Creek terrain parks. I know someone has skiied these mountains recently. Come on guys.
Vail has the small park up under the gondy...big park will take a week most likely. BC has their 2 small parks up, decent rails and small jumps. The main BC park will take a while.
This just in, Vail to open superpipe friday! The jumps looked like they were comin along, the basic shape was there but who knows how much more cat time it will take. As for BC, the jumps aren't amazing, nor are the rails.
Skiied vail today. It was fucking sick, found freshies in Blue Sky all day. When I took chair 6 up in the morning I noticed that they have been pushing around and blowing a ton of snow for the park and it is starting to take shape pretty well. They have got the pipe almost done, just looks like it needs a fresh cut. Got some big booters starting to form. They have a quarter pipe in the same spot as last year that is looking pretty close to completed. They also have some rails up.If i can remember correctly Looks like 2 double barrel c rails, and some other shit I can't remember.
Pipe not opened as of Friday, they started to cut it around 2 though. Other than that, the inrun ramp doesn't look done, but it should be open pretty soon.
bc's park is open for the most part, the pipe is not open yet tho, the jumps are pretty big.
vails pipe blows!! we skiied it like 2 days ago when it was really windy and i think it was the worst pipe ive ever riden
wow i was just up there today - the pipe totally blows it seems really short and the walls are tiny... plus all the jumps had really sharp knuckles so you had to have your speed perfect on the big ones - the third one on the left is pretty huge. they had like 6 rails nothing special - generally i felt like it was being neglected since all the bottom was just sort of plowed out. i won't even bother next time i'm there.
word is that they are going to make the pipe longer. but thats just gossip. the quarterpipe is nice but u need soo much speed for it unlike beaver creeks
The pipe was closed yesterday, so i guess the rumors were true, it was a little sketch, but the booter seemed pretty smoothe, even though you couldnt get enough speed for them and the rails were decent
Did they move the Pipe and upper park to the East side of Upper Ruder's Run? they had been talking about it. Its always been under the chair life on Ruder's.
