You could always check the colorado avalanche info center, check it on google. Otherwise, the snowpack is not to stable right now, lots of weak layers and faceting.

I picked up some hitchhikers in Loveland Pass this past weekend on my way to Keystone. They said conditions were good and they didn't have any trouble. Check out avi info though.

Avie danger is considered moderate right now, but the hardslab that has formed in most areas would result in a huge, deep slide if it broke.
Pick a safe spot and be smart out there.

thanks guys, I went up today and it was stable we stuck close to the trees and did'nt venture out into any exposed areas. It was snowy and very windy, our landing went from soft to wind-packed very quickly. It is still very shallow, lots of rocks, we need more snow for it to be less dangerous as far as rocks go.

Does anyone have a map of the Loveland Pass area with names of the different areas. There is plenty of coverage in most spots, thin up top when you are just dropping in near the road.

Everything in this area of Colorado gets so freaking windblown, especially up high. Where there was 4 feet of snow two weeks ago there are rocks now.
