Does anyone roll without brakes?

i did and i was scared shitless that if i fell that my skis would go down like a missile. I got my wide brakes and i was a lot happier. Its really dumb not to use breaks b/c not only will you have to hike to get your skis after they go all the way down the hill, you run the fist of killing somebody.

most places require a stoping thing on your ski, i.e. Brakes, if you are caught with out them they will most likely send you home.

I do, because I just broke one of my brakes. I bought a leash and kept on skiing. Downside is you can't clip em together.

i do but sometimes my one gets stuck cause its bent and like fucked up..it moves alot but idn it never got stuck when i ejected only when i take my skis off sometimes.

when i worked at mammoth i saw some ski barreling down the hill at me. i caught it with my bare hand and it cut the shit out of my fingers. i was fucking pissed. we're not supposed to let people on the lift if they don't have brakes or the brakes don't function properly and this kid had regular brakes on a ski that needed wide ones. i went off on his ass and didn't let him on the lift. stupid fucker.

a saw someone lose a ski and have it go down the hill and miss hitting a snowcat by about 5 feet...the guy said he had to get leashes or somethin or else he would lose his pass

I had to ride without yesterday because i landed swith and the one foot ejected and the break caught in the snow bending it towards the front of the ski i was scared to fall.

yea at bachelor over break some snowboarder took her board off and dropped it or smthing so it was shooting down the hill and it nailed this skier dude and he completely wiped out. People on the lift were all pointing at the board and all pointing at the board and shouting.

when I got my new skiis I slapped my old brakes on but they were to narrow so they jammed somtimes and when they jam and u lose skiis they go forever down the hill and hit shit

a couple days ago i skied down near the parking lot and took off my skis. but little did i know that my brake was frozen to my ski and it went shooting down into the street until a snowboared stepped on it and then just left it there. lukily the base wasnt too scratched up.

if you ski with out breaks your retarded, but out in jackson this year there was the little string of 5-6 y/o in ski school, one kid wiped and his ski and his BOOT came of, it fucking rocketed down the hill, then it just started flipping it was wack

i bent my brake once and it wouldnt go down then my ski fell off and it went down and down the hill and i had to walk down. i was scared that it would hit some body but it didnt so it was all good.

I worked at canada olypmic park as an instructor and i don't know how many times i'd have to drop everything and sprint across the hill diving to stop a ski from killing someone in the lift line or on the balcony. It got to be a bit of a contest between some of us, most skis stopped in a day
