the past couple of years I have been slowly moving into the park more. I have been a big mountain skier and I was just wondering if I could get some tips moving into the park. Because I would like to get better and I really dont have anyone to help me out.
take it slow.
hang in the kiddie park and practice riding on to boxes.
if you are past that practice sliding the little boxes sideways.
then move on to the smaller rails.
you should be working on getting comfortable hitting jumps, making sure that you are coming off and landing correctly.
once you are confident with smaller features move to the big shit and try whatever you can get the balls to hit.
ask guys hitting tables if you can follow them to judge speed, make sure you carry enough speed onto the rails and boxes, and if all else fails ask one of the little rippers for some pointers.
haggars got it right. start small and work your way up as you get comfortable. if you have a friend who is good at park, ski with them and just follow them and do what they do.
I find that if I look at the feature from higher up on the hill it looks bigger then it really is and it spooks you some. Look at it from the side and keep that picture in your head. Often you eat it just because you get spooked and don't commit.
