first of all send me an invite to the group...
second of all, riding for christ is doing everything like christ. no, we're not gonna preach on the slopes, but in my opinion, i want to be known as an awesome guy and i want God to be shown through my actions. i'm not condemning anyone else for what they do, i've drank, i've smoked cigs and cigars, i've had sex, but i feel terrible about it, i wish i could take it back, but i know that it all happened for a reason, and that reason is so i can be on the same level as people who have done that too. i've done some terrible things in my life, but i've been forgiven. i try and do everything for christ. i play football at a small naia college in kansas and when i'm on the field, i try and let christ shine through. i'm not big, i'm not fast, i'm not strong, but i MAKE it happen. it's not me doing it thought its God allowing me, despite the odds.
if you would have asked my friends a year and a half ago if i would ever be a Christian, they would have laughed. but God has blessed me so incredibly much, if you want to know i'm more than willing to share, but just for short, my father has been an alcoholic since i was born, drinking everyday, and he finally stopped, i never even thought he would, but i still prayed, and it worked.
riding for christ is just kind of like stating that you are a christian skier. you are gonna be cool, chill, relaxed, supportive, fun, and a christian. i think we are called to try and bring something different to the slopes. just cuz your not a christian doesn't make a difference in the way we will treat you. i don't know, that's my input. thanks...
