Being that the FS is a park ski, it will basically blow off-piste.

I agree to some extent, If your a strong smart skier then you can pull it off. My Jps arent mounted yet and i have been on my tanners for the last month skiing everything, I even dropped a few 20 footers and skiid pow in the trees without any problems. Super fun to ski a small flexy ski in pow but i dont know how i pulled off the cliffs. there mounted and recomended so there not dead center but there perfect mount for park at the smae time. Super fun.

Except that this year's FS is about a shit ton stiffer than last year's, and about the same dimensions as last year's BC, so..........it'll work as that one ski you can ride everywhere.

Nice choice between the 05 ARV's and the 06 Scratch becuase I actually have both of these skis. I haven't yet skiied my scratch fs so I am sorry I can't give you a review on those yet, however, I am super stoked to get them out there on the mountain when coverage gets good. They feel so solid, super stiff, nice width, and I got the 181 so it should be pretty bomber for me. I am 5'9" and about 155 pounds. I have been skiing my ARV's (175) half of last year and all this year. I think they are pretty sick in the POW and BC, but they are gonna be become my park ski for this year cause they feel way to short in deep pow. I think they absolutely slay in the park. If i had the 185 I would probably reserve them for more BC and pow days, but as that is not the case, these are my park ski this year. SO, yea kinda odd, but my ARV's are gonna be my park skis, and my 06 scratch are gonna be more Gnar and all mountain ski. I can pretty much already tell how these things are gonna ski without even riding them, and I am stoked.

This year i skied my 4 year old 161 1080s which have a 75 waist and went off piste a lot. It wasnt ideal, but i managed. You will be fine with your scratch's

05 ARV's are very soft. They advertised them as "Bomber" skis last year, but I really do not think that is the case. They feel like wide park skis basically.
