This was posted on TGR awhile ago by a trusted source. Didn't know whether to post it or not as I'm sure it was start a bunch of BS, but at least it should give those who care an idea of where CR's physical state currently stands.
"I just got off the phone with CR's mom, Lorraine. They've obviously had a whirlwind of emotions for the past few days. JT Holmes flew out there last night and delivered a card from Tahoe well-wishers. An hour later, CR's dad, Rusty, called Lorraine saying, "I put that card up on the wall and within one hour, his temperature dropped from 105 to 104!"
That's the kind of moment they're clinging to right now. Otherwise, there really isn't any good news to report. He remains in an induced coma to keep his brain functions to a minimum. They aren't to speak to him or agitate him in any way. When they tried bringing him out of the coma, he was combatitive, so they sedated him again. Doctors wanted to avoid drilling into his head to relieve the pressure, hoping it would dissipate naturally, but in the end they were forced to.
Doctors are telling his family to expect anything: from a full recovery to speech therapy to whatever. Nothing has shown promise yet.
Obviously, good vibes are welcomed. Fortunately he's a strong kid. Let's hope he pulls through just fine. And let's support him like crazy if he doesn't."
Word from people on Brighton's Ski patrol was that Kye was right behind CR when he crashed and there was nothing he could do.
So, More positive vibes to everyone effected. Hope things work out for the best.

I feel bad for Kye because god knows whats goin through his mind as i write this... and i feel bad for CR... i hope that he will recover and be able to ski once again.... comas are fucking scary, to see someone you know or love in a coma, and not know for sure how they will be until they wake up, is terrifying, believe me, i know. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends

yes but it's the best thing for him now. Induced comas and hypothermia actually drasticall reduce brain damage. Technology is very good, I sure he will come out of this. The only thing is, will he ski again...
And I don't know the full and true story... but why was Kye following him on that, especially if the landing was blind from the start. Or he was so close that he couldn't stop? Thats so dangerous. I mean thats why people call drop in the park. One at a time. Even if the skier is awesome, sometimes he could catch an edge and fall. Then the person(s) behind him can hit him. This is such a terrible thing to happen... I'm going to learn bios this season in his honor.

Someone who lives by the Utah hospital should start a "Get well soon CR" thread, then people can post there messages and they can be brought to the hospital.

yo best wishes out to CR...thats some serious stuff there..
I really think we should start a thread for everyone to post their wishes and props and stuff, and then after it gets to like 5 pages, print it out and send it to CR & His Parents and stuff...coz i think NS is the single biggest place where so many people will definitely care about this whiole incident

CR's 'rents are well aware of this thread and the good vibes coming from the skiing community. They really appreciate it. The update here was pretty solid, if theres anything more to report I can find out and will let you all know.

if its any consolation, ill share this story.
my friend cased a table last year at a big air comp and hurt himself critically. he was put into a coma by doctors, and this is the best thing for him. with the rest of his body shut down, his brain focused on repairing itself, because he had recieved severe brain trauma. he started out at a rating of 4 on the glasgow coma scale. getting a 4 means that you have scored the lowest possible mark on all of the tests (visual, auditory, and motor) and he was not in a good position. being in a coma helped him put all his energy to repairing himself. and as we speak, almost a year later, my friend is back in school, and 100% mentally recovered, and almost fully physically recovered. i heard story after story about people who were almost clinically dead, and then made a full recovery. i witnessed this, and i know that someone as stong as CR could pull it off as well
