Sammy isn't getting what he's earned.

Most other skiers that ride for salomon use their best stuff. But Sammy uses salmon thrusters, and s810's. While others use foils and s916's. Maybe he likes those better, but it seems like he's getting cut short.

hahahaha. yeah. i'm sure if Sammy wanted a pair of Foils, he could get them. i bet he gets a paycheck from salomon, so i'm pretty sure he can choose his skis. And the Foils are an all mtn. ski. When you primarily ski park, you should prolly have a park ski. So i imagine thats what Sammy does.

Maybe they are a team edition or something. people on Pro teams can get beefier things than the average schmoe. And maybe they are the better binding and you just looked at them wrong (i'm assuming you're getting this info from a movie of something). And maybe he's smaller so he doesn't need heavier bindings. and i'm sure he has like 10 setups. maybe one is for rails that is super light? who knows.

maybe the s810 is lighter. the DIN setting is also lower, so maybe he doesnt need the higher level binding.

When companies sponsor athletes, they want to market a majority of their product, not just some. So, while some of the other riders might be marketing the foils and guns, he markets the park oriented ski because he hits the park a lot. If you watch War, you will also notice he wears some of the lower end Oakley clothes (paratrooper and puffy pants, etc) while some other guys are marketing the matching suits and high end stuff for out of park (seth, pep, boronowski). That is just his job. I am pretty sure he doesn't mind making thousands of dollars, missing school and getting free gear when he is only 16 or whatever

i think dumont uses the thruster also in the park, and there is no reason for him to use s916's if he's that small and light, its not safe

its just lighter material. lets say your 5 foot 6, 130 pounds (i am not saying sammy has htis height and weight) why would you need bindings that go up to like 18 din??? when at 10 theyll never even come off

if u look at sammy's seg in way he uses 914s except for a couple urban shots. The skis he takes out of his locker have 914s. He is just told by salomon to tell people that he rides 810s because they sell a package deal thrusters with s810 for 399

i ride my 810s in the park, and i use 710s on my other skills mostly for rails but i occasionally take them out for a few laps around the mountain, us small people cant bear heavy bindings... the 912s weight like half as much as i do

i heard that they only sponsor him because of affirmative action, and they hide the good shit when he comes to the factory. the solomon team flies first class, sammy flies coach.
its bullshit, but whatever. he tells everyone he has hella skis, but hes just ashamed at how racist the ski industry is.

JP Auclair used to ride the 720s instead of the 1080s for Salomon. What does that tell you? Sometimes a rider just has a different preference.

dude, those are the lightest salomon bindings and thrusters are the lightes salomon ski. he chose it. he gave the foils he got to another hood kid. he can get whatever the fuck he wants
