Invader - Important!

Yea well, just to get rid of some rumors, if you have an Invader AND have skied on it. Post here if you're having problems or not with it. It seems as if all we ever here about it are bad shit, I want to hear the good too.

I've skied my invaders three full (8 hour) days now. I love them personaly, they are holding up, no delam, except for that little plastic topsheet string I pulled off (nothing even close to detramental), but the ski is great, light, the butter zone is fun. The big tail takes a little getting used to, but overall, I love this ski, no problems and lots of fun.

Any other opinions?

I skied them over the summer at High North.

no problems whatsoever. I never had any delamming or anything that these people are talking about. Used them every day for 5-8 hours a day for 2 weeks. Worked beautifully. The remarkable thing is how the bases dont get fucked up at all when you go over rails... its almost like those skis went thru the willy wonka factory there so hardcore...

ive used them for about 9 days on snow now. Solid days a lot of rails a lot of big tables. No problems whatsovever. The large tail takes some gettin used to considering my old skis has 1080's had virtually no tail. Great ski AMAZING SWITCH no delam problems no problems at all.

thats 3 people all loving the invaders!

ive had mine for 3 weekends and love them, so much fun to butter on. Yes the tail takes some getting used to since they are centermounted but once you get past that they are a definite sick ski, the top sheets arent the best, because of the tail sometimes my skis would make ski to ski contact and leave a small gash or scratch but other then that really super sick.

Favoritest thing yet is skiing switch faster then my friends going forward its so much more comfier skiing switch with equal tail.

Yeah that plastic topsheet covering came up a little in one tail but its not peeling off or anything, love my skis. Someone at my mountain had his for 2 days and they started to delam but Line warrantied them and he had his new pair in like a week or so.

i'm looking into buying them. why? firstly, they're cheaper than most, secondly, i'm kind of a park rat, thirdly, i'm quite light. also, since my only pair of skis got stolen, these ones will eventually turn into my jib/urban skis when i get a second pair.

Seeing as most of the complaints come from people that have only used them that long, I have the right to post. And secondly, three days is more than enough time to get used to new skis, and get to know some of the advantages.

kk im like 6' tall and weigh around 190lbs...would these skis be worth the money for me or woud they just be a joke?? i have the opportunity to buy a pair of brand new trouble makers with bindings for cheap or the invaders (havn't ski'd the vaders yet...or tm's for that matter). for my weight would i be better off going with a bit stiff ski (tm's) than the vaders??

somebody KNOWLEDGABLE help me out here

jib_freak, the two skis are very similar as far as stiffness and the flex points are concerned. i've skied mine 2 days so far, not really a ton of park on them since we dont really have much in the park yet, but they ski surprisingly well all mountain as long as you dont overpower them. you have to stay very centered or you will overpower the tips, but you'd have the same issue with troublemakers mounted forward as well. i really like mine so far.

Yea, The second day skiing them is when I first started to get them down. I like how they're completly semtrical too, I've had a few instances coming out of a switch landing where I was like, "shit, I'm fucked" but the skis just pulled out of it as I kept my balance. The edges also wip around under-rotated spins easier. And finally, if you've ever riden a snowboard, you'd understand, once you start actual wide, hard-core, far-leaning carves with them, they carve just like a snowboard, it has that certain catch to it. Yup, I love the Invaders so far.

Yeah.. they have alot of bounce effect. very very very flexible ski. by far the most flexible I have ever ridden.

Going down a groomer on those was pretty fun actually... you could make a wide turn and when you came out of it you felt like you were about to catch some air.

Really fun if you go off jumps like this, you get corked with no problem at all...

they are a super fun ski and i really like them but mine are delaming and the bases have already taken a huge beating on some rails. edges are holding up pretty well. once i get them fixed up a bit hopefully ill feel alot better about them. ill have to see by the end of the season

actuatly, after looking at them after ythe hill, i start to ? the duriability. they are still a great ski, but very not-durable. after one 8hr day, i already have big scratches in my bases, and air pockets on the topsheet.

still, 8/10 overall

ya. alot of people go crazy, and have no real proff and now alot of people wont buy them kus theres alot of threads about messed up invaders when they could be stupid fake ones

They're all real dude, no worries, just the older types, and the ones sold before the origonal release are prototypes, they had to fix some stuff on them since they delemed easy or something.

ok, just to settle the question for people, if your over 5'10....please dont get the invaders. i suppose you could be 6 foot and like 150lbs, but thats scary. if your tall, your heavier, dont get them. all of these people who are like, i ride super agressive all over the mountain and im 6'3 and 200lbs.....just use your heads people.

5' 8" 120lbs. ski the 178 invaders. i have skied them 2 times and they have worked great. no problems as of yet and they are fun as hell. for being in the midwest, lower wisconsin to be exact they are great for just about everywhere on the mountain. can't complain

Umm. I'm 6 foot dude. I ride the 178's, and as I said I love them. So far I've riden them 8 times this season already, and the only problem I've had is the tail takes some getting used to. no delaming, no un-stable landings or high speed problems, in fact, I'm racing other kids down the hill switch and still beating them. So really, ride them, then make your decition.

I have skied them 3 days(mostly because I work and use troublemakers the work)

They chip easy which is normal but it gets on my nerves.

I have rounded my underfoot edge so bad that no sharpener in the world could fix it.

The bases suck.

Well this all of this is normal for a midwest skier.
