i wanna know what you guys think, i was up in mammoth a lot last year and i thought the park was ultra non-progressive,i havent been this year yet, but i find it really sad that last year they didn't do anything with the insane amount of snow they got, they built a couple of booters and the wall, why dont they do anything like keystone, i almost rather ski at big bear instead
Very true...but if we are talking just about parks, I would say Big Bear pretty much kills it. The park is so maintained, and you can hit any feature you can think of basically.
i was in mammoth last year as well, and would pick june mountain over theirs almost any day. as for the freeriding though, mammoth was the shit, although i never got to ride at june much outside of theri park. one thing id have to say about mammoth is that their landings could be a little bit longer. other than that and their lips to some jumps being kind of deceiving, they had a pretty damn good park. most of the people on here thinking that mammoths park is soooo sick bases it on photoshoots and ads where they obviously just pick the best out of the best. on average though, june would beat them hands down.
I'm not sure about the june thing. I guess if you are used to it, their jumps are sick, but they are all the same thing, a sort of pseudo-stepdown, and they all have deveiving speed for them. But that's just me. I know what you mean about the so called non-progressivness, but it is still a sick park. And the mountain has so much to offer... the park is only part of it.
uuh junes park is perfect...i only had trouble once on the hip and that was still kinda early season...besdies taht i NEVER had troubles with that park. by far way better than mammoth in every way possible.
mammoths park is already comin together, the park manager is a total fuckin loser so mammoths been in a hole but hopefully this year he'll realize that he has to step it up
thats so weird, i was just thinking about that, mammoth used to be known as like the best park you could find, every pro was coming out of mammoth, now you really never hear anything about it, they don't do any really interesting setups anymore
During the year Keystones park pretty much sucked, their booters were horrible. They had some fun rails but they weren't maintained that well. All the stuff in videos was made after Keystone was closed.
