So I am going to boreal on friday the 23rd. I want to learn how to grind there so I will know how to grind for a trip to oregon. I know the basics like go pop on and turn 90 degrees. What i dont understand is how to pop. Is pop like jump? If I cant pop high enough what should i do to get higher? Also what should i do for a small a frame or flat down to get centered right on the down so i wont slide out. Could poping off a tiny bit help? Or should i put more pressure on my front foot?

pop is basically jump. when your sliding your rails make your feet wide and stay forward. COMMIT to the rail. i spent half a year sliding of sides of rails cus i didnt commit. thank god thats over

You most likely won't have to pop on the rails you'd be learning on, that's a pretty advanced way of getting onto a rail.
