It will be Scratch: 180cm, 1080: 181cm or V-expression: 178cm.

You might want to compare the running surfaces of each ski.

It depends on what level skier you are and what you want out of the ski. How demanding are you of your skis?

get beginner skis, yes. beginner skier=beginner skis. that would make sense. i ride the v's from 2001, and tehy're nice, but i've foundt hat they're made of soft material and if you ride them off the park, they get scrathced up pretty deep on small rocks. and in pow, don't lean forward. however, great park ski if that'
s what you're looking for.

dude, how much do you weigh?...cause most guys that height are fairly heavy, and if you want a volkl, don't get expressions, cause you'll snap those like none other, they're the softer and less expensive ski...so they aren't the best quality, i'd suggest either the legend or the v-pro...i got the v-pros and i'm a but smaller than you and these things are sick, and are holding up really well

I weight about 180-190pounds. My local ski shop sell the v-expression and scratch for the same price, 499$ CAD. Dunno which one to buy, and the 1080's are 599$. The guys there suggest me some marker bindings, because he said the look bindings wont be good for spin tricks on big air.

I wouldn't suggest the V-Expressions due to their softness. I'm in the same height/weight range as you and even on a freeheel setup (i.e. needing a softer flexing ski), I need a stiffer ski.
