I got this padding that they use for prosthetic limbs. Just cut some rectangles out and shove'em in your socks. Work well too.

cut a spong...like the big ones....like for washing cars...into a U or a cirlce and stick it in your boot....you can still buckle ur boot...but it takes alot of pressure off...works great!

its different that what runners get... the stress is perpendicular... runners recieve stress and pressure straight up the leg.
might help, but dont bank on it.

best bet is the prosthetic limb foam stuff mentioned.

no it won't go away in a day... but stretch your lower legs before you so out by leaning towards a wall forward for a while, then lean against it backward, it's the tendons you stretch out that hurt.
Then make sure your upper buckles are tight

you get shin bang not only from landing back seat (that will just bruise your shin real bad) but also if you don't keep constant pressure on your shins while you ski. Make sure you're boots are tight, and that you stay forward on your ski's when you're skiing.

i shouldnt have skid today i messed up my leg and ownt be skiing till if im lucky next saturday at jay.. it hurts so bad i can feel it in my ankle and feet

yep...get some Boosters!

I was holding my boot together with 2 straps..but they are meant fore more power and work against the shin bang up.

i ski with my boots really really loose, it feels like im wearing shoes, yea i kno i can break my ankle really easy but it helps take some of the stress off my shins, i tried tighining up the top buckels today but that just made it worse

That's a bad idea. Loose boots are one of the bigger causes of shin bang. Your leg can move around in the boot and actually bang against it. You also lose a ton of control over your skis. The booster straps everyone is talking about work really well because they keep your boot tight around your leg, reducing shin bang and increasing control.

land switch more, and flex ur boot more, and tighten that strap up more, and if at all possible, rest for a few days, and stretch stretch stretch

Velcro the top strap, but don't buckel the top of your boots. You should get a ton more flex. Might be a little sloppy, but it will save the shins.

Get boots that actually fit you right.

The number one reason for Ski Injuries like Toe and shinbang are because people dont have the right boots. They are too big or too wide at the top or too much room in the boot or something of the like.

Boots in most cases are more important than your skis. True fact.

just wear tight boots, youll never get this problem, and im not sure a booster strap will help that much because its made of elastic and aside from racing it has no use, just get your boots tight with your buckels and powerstrap

im getting a booster strap and im getting them grinded down and some bolt taken out to make them soft.. the fag that sold them to me said theyd be aswome for park but he never said they were super stiff racing boots

I'm the inventor of the Shintronic. A device that knocks out Shin bang. Our dutch website is brand new (www.manoove.com) and I guarantee a solution. I suffered heavy from severe Shin bang and I had to quit, but I managed to invent this device. A friend of mine whois producing surf westsuits was the missing like for production. 4 factors in the designs helps out: (1) Relief of the frontside of shinbone with a gap between padding (2) the flat strong side of the shinbone rests against the innerpadding and deals with most of the power (3) spreading the pressure zone (4) neoprene has nice damping characteristics.

My freinds mother is a nurse and this is what she told me: The only way to get over shinbang is to stay off your feet for a while, but since most of us can't do that get some Mole skin(found at any store in the foot section)and wrap a big layer around your big toes. It alters your balance and takes some pressure of your shins.

So i tried this out and it seems to work pretty well, but you still have to give it some time.
