the MSP is an awesome all-mountain + park ski. you can take them just about anywhere and they'll hold their own. where they excell at though kind of depends on where you mount them.
There's an awesome STL review. And yes a lot of people have them as their all-mountain ski. That guy was carving pretty well on them. And I think he was actually being evaluated. So theres you answer.
yeah, i got to ski some pow on my 177s last season, and i was surprised. while the mounting point held um back, they had a good deal of float (80+mm underfoot). and this seasons are quite a bit stiffer. 4frnts are fuckin great skis, and very durable.
