I don't feel like sifting through all the posts on this site so whats a good all around freeride boot? The flex rating, are they the same from MFG to MFG or do they have their own scales? Im coming from a rossi freeride XX and I'd just assume stick with that but the liners are fucked and the boot is borderline race fit, they're tight as hell flex on those is 85/95, Im gonna be rocken some 179 PEs this year, about 5'10" 180, fairly advanced and agressive skier, looken at the Lange freeride series... is 120 too stiff? 80 too flexible?
How soft are the 1080 boots? I want a boot that will react when I put power into it but I dont want to be punished on hard landings cuz the boots are stiff as fuck
any recommendations?

i like my salomon 1080 foils. pretty shitty to wear in, but if you wear them up like twice and deal with the pain and then take them and get them heat fitted, then you will be golden after that. they are dope

how bad is bad? I'm saying for the first week or 2 atleast my freerides were very very uncomfortable, Im talking cramps, tinglyness, they were ridiculous! and now because the liners are dicked I can't even wear them all day without taken em off atleast once to stretch the feet haha
give ya a lil visual, 26.5 boot, I wear size 10 shoe

damn. uhhh likei would go down the run, and by the end of the run. my legs would be throbbing and i would loosen them up on the chair and then tighten them the next run. id you can make it throuhg like one or two days of that then get then heated adn they are pretty fuckin sick

sorry for the strange terminology I guess?
the liners are very worn out after 3.5-4 years riding, the foam is bunching up in some areas. I instruct so the boots see above average use/abuse I'd say. I am constantly running around, skating etc... I guess you can equate that to hiking the park every day for hours...

by the way, I was interested in the krypton, how stiff/soft is it? Not sure what brand I'll go, I tried on some head and lange boots and they were very comfortable, unfortunately Ive been skiing small boots for so long an increase in shell size almost feels too big, don't know if I should step up the shell size one or stick with the tight boots...
