P Tex problems HELP!

I dont know if I have a shitty stick of P Tex or not, but it burns dirty, I was P Texing the sidewall of my AR5's, with the yellow sidewall and it burnt dirty, so I have a black and clear patch and it looks like shit, is that just the way P Tex burns or do i need to get a new stick?

that dirty stuff is carbon meanign it is burning too hot soi make it not so hot next time i forget how to do that i think you should start it with like a blowtourch or something not so hot

I lit it with a butane lighter and held it at 45* in my hand and i did it outside where its like 15*

i've just lit a stick of P-tex with a match, and then while its flaming let it drip down onto the desired spot. i'd go to Wal Mart and get some Epoxy if i were you.
