the bigger it is, the more the chicks like it, unless its just way too big and they can't handle it, then it is bad... SIZE MATTERS!

um you all need to learn about racing. depends on the type of racing he is doing, and i guess this is some one who is new to racing. short skis for SL, meduim to long for GS and long for SG and DH.

Go longer, that way the racer has a bigger surface area to mass ratio.

thats such a vague question man... slalom skis are designed short and very stiff, with a lot of sidecut and a short radius, GS skis are the opposite, very long and stiff, with less sidecut and a wider radius. Downhill skis are the longest though... i dunno much about them, just that their radius must be pritty fuckin wide

the question isn't really about racing skis i was talking about jibbing skis

oh... well it all depends of the skier's opinion... i ski on 167, but some people same size as me would rather go on 174... what are your arguments?

he's probly 2-3 inches taller than me i'm 5'11. I just got 176's and this kid is a strong skier so i think he should get something longer than 169's

well its up to him, but really id say no fuckin way, hes gonna hate it... he should definitly get about your size, or a bit longer, but never under 170, trust me ive work three years as a technician for a ski comp...

i race , so if hes doing slalom he will want a ski that is shorter but for bigger turns then a longer stiffer ski but it depends if you like a stiff ski..
like a atmoic but if you want a softer then rossi but longer is better

my park skis are 161s and like my all mountain/freeride skis are 174s (im 6 foot one) so it really depends on preference and what its used for....so settle your debate like men, arguing until one of you throws a punch because there is no definative answer
