Bandit B1 06??

if you dint plan on park and skiing switch, the you will love these skis. that is pratty much what they are designed for, tho i would also conider the B2

not at all! they would prob be a little better for all around.

Just get 195 B4's.

The bandit line has been totally redone this year, where before there was the BANDIT then the b1, b2 ect which just got larger, this year the B1 is a Differnt ski from all the rest. Although it is slightly narrower 74 mm (i think) compared to the 78 mm b2 they dont even compare the b1 is intermediate to advanced and the b2 is all mountain advance expert east coast. 78mm is no where near to wide for the east cost i will be on the volkl karmas this year at 87mm...
The b2 is a good ski if you are more into finess than power. it is pretty flexy but isnt sloppy like some softer park skis, it has a lot of energy but it is easy to over work it if you are big and agressive

b2s are deffinately not too wide..i ski in new york.Id say you could do a b2 easily if you did more tree skiing

not a bad reveiw but you forgot one very important detail and that is the construction/flex differences of all rossi's relative to length. Any time you're talking about a rossi ski you m ust remmeber that each length is built to a different flex pattern, as they get longer they add metal and become totally different skis. Nobody asked this guy how much he weighs yet and one of his main questions is size. If he is looking to ski at an advanced/expert level in the east coast and can handle the 178 or 184 B2 than yes those would be alright skis for him because they have metal in them and will hold on ice. However in the smaller lengths it's a softer ski that would not be as good on ice so if you were thinking about a ski shorter than 178 in that category as most men are nowadays, consider a few others. If you're a solid and confident skier check out the Fischer AMC 76 or the Nordica Modified, if you're a little less agressive but still want a great ski for carving try the rossi Z5 and if you're a great skier and you want a rossi get the Zenith 9 it's a way better east coast ski with at least as much surface are as the B2 but with more shape,dampening, and a better flex.

Good point: i'm short (5'5) and 130lbs but pretty athletic (marathoner), advance skier that wants to improve his technique in moguls and ski with style on ice...

Believe it or not: i just found out that the B1 in Europe is 70mm wide (4mm slimmer!!) and orange, not red. WTF?? They don't make the same skis everywhere????

they definitely don't make skis the same everywhere. Anyway the ones made here in your size (164 or 170) are too soft to be a good east coast ski. Seriously bro check out some other stuff like what I mentioned earlier except ski that stuff short cuz they're all really fast.
