has anyone skied both of em. I can get a really good deal on ANts straight from armada but they are out of Jps so is it worth buyin the Jps full price or jsut get ANTS?
ANT's are a pure pow ski, for BC lines and booters. Jp's are made specifically for BC booters and for landing switch in pow. also the ants only come in 191 which is a huge ski and way too long for most people.
Its not really the length that makes these inpractical for most people its the fact its pretty long but very stiff. There are plenty of shorter people riding skis near 190cm long, but not many skiing something as long and stiff.
thats the smartest thing ive ever heard - but not ethical -but yea do it, the juliens are sick, but the ant are crazy sick, so are you crazy sick or just plain sick
The lack of sidecut will not be an issue as i am skiing NorAm mogul somps this season. I am 5'10'' 185lbs and am a pretty strong guy from all the training for moguls. Cause of my deal with armada i got tanners and AR5s for park so these will never be used in the park. I just want something to come with me into my various BC excursions from my trips out west this year and i will ride it when i am jsut out rippin flats cause pow skis are so much fun
dude if you have a good background in racing or moguls and high confidence level and your using your skis only for pow then the Ants area good choice. I have skiied my pair twice now and I they skiied great everywhere. I did not take them in the park. but for anything else. groomers, crud, chopped pow, pow they skied great. fucken fast and if you dont like a stiff ski then dont get em. they hold an edge well and absolutley no chattering. turning isnt what these skis are really ment for. but they are extremely stable at sonic speeds. i dunno, kinda seems like a ski someone from a raceing background would like.
I woudn't even say it's unethical bro cuz think about it he's supporting the company even more by buying two of their skis. Even at shop price they're turning a small profit and then he's putting the money he makes off of them back into their company and into one of their accounts. So the local store benefits, and Armada benefits cuz that store reorders maybe again this year or at least for next year if the skis do well for them so he's supporting the brand either way. If he was paying for his girfreinds ugg boots or something with money he made off his Armada rep then that would be different but that money is going right back into the system that Armada needs to perepetuate. Great idea JD.
