Basically, life just sucks

so my winter formal dance was the night before last, and the girl that i went with, i really liked alot, so i show up to take her over, and bring her flowers and tell her she looks amazing, and everything blah blah. so we get there and she just goes around and takes pictures of herself with other guys and then we finaly get to the dance floor, and dance a few times, and then we each start dancing with other people, which is normal b/c we're not going out or anything, and then i start dancing with her again, and then after that song, she just disappears. so i am looking all over for her, but she is nowhere to be found. so finally, right before the end of the dance, she shows up again, and is dancing with another guy for the slow song, the last song. so when we meet up after that, to leave, she comes up and asks where i was the whole time? and i was like i was looking for you. where were you? so she just says that she was here the whole time, so im like ok whatever. so i go to walk her back to her dorm, which is like 100 feet tops (this is at a boarding school), and i get outside and im like damn its cold out, and she just shoots me the dirtiest look ever and then i realize that she's wearing just a thin dress, and im over here in my jacket, so i offer the jacket to her and shes like well we're almost there, so dont bother. so i think to myself 'shit, i should have offered before we even got outside.' so anyways, i guess i fucked up a little, but it really wasnt that bad, was it? and now it seems like she doesnt want to have anything to do with me. so i've been thinking about how to rectify this situation for the last 36 hours straight (24 of which was my birthday - great way to spend a birthday, right?), but i cant figure out anything. i thought that maybe i should just tell the girl how i feel about her, and say like "i like you alot, and it seemed like you used to like me, but not really anymore, but i just wanted you to know that i still like you, and i want to be with you, so there's something for you to think over" like would that work? anyways, i would really appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me, and sorry it was so long.

do what you feel like doing, just talk to her, that sounds like what you want to do. same thing happened to me in 8th grade, almost exactly like that, ditch, then at the end ask where you been at... she sounds like a trick ass skeez that doesn't know who SHE is yet. don't waste your time thinking about it though, that doesn't do a damn thing, just have a civilized conversation with her. or you can play the drama card and be a bit of a dick, but thats playin the same kinda tricks we men try to get women to stop with. Just keep your head up and don't worry about it too deeply.

the only thing holding me back from telling her how i feel is the chance that she might think that im coming on too strong, and subsequently just say that she doesnt want to be with me at all, whereas if i just try to play this out, then theres a chance that i might still get with her. the only problem is that this is just eating away at me, and i just need to get some of this off my chest which i guess, is why im posting it.

then just ad a little unsureness in the way you say it, not so much so that she thinks your wierd or something but enough to go either way, like if she thinks your coming on too strong be like whoa i was just saying, or if you think she is pushed away because you arent coming on strong enough just ad more too it, use body language, just talk to her man.

Let's just say pretty much the SAME situation happened to me too, but I ignored her for like a week and she came crawling back. holy shit i feel like the biggest retard ever. so i finally tell her how i feel about her tonight, and i go on for like 2 minutes about how im just confused about what to say to her and how i just want to be with her, and that its been bothering me for like 2 days straight, so she reacts okay, like "aww youre so cute" or something like that, and so im thinking this might be the reaction that i want, so then she says "im kindof with [enter name here]" so my jaw just fucking hits the floor. i mean i know that they spend a lot of time together, but i never saw him as someone she would hook up with. like he was in the 'friend' category as far as i knew. so i just fucking took off right there. i mean i cant really blame her - i mean she wasnt really leading me on THAT much, but fuck i just didnt see that coming. i was expecting either "sweet lets go hook up right now" or else "i kinda like someone else, and im waiting to see if anything happens there" but now i feel like a retard for spilling everything to her. i guess its a little better now tho cuz i wont be worrying about it anymore. but shit i did not see that coming at all
