style for most comps, some its def spin to win tho. if theres more then one jump thrown down your biggest stuff and make the other jumps jsut look smooth
They're both equally important. I mean sombody can't just go to a competition and only do 3s and 5s because they're so worried about style. At the same time you can't just throw your body and flail. Style is really important but I think a lot of people use it as an excuse to not move on to better tricks. They'll just tell people they're working on their style.
Not really, people are gonna do the trick that's gonna win the comp. There not gonna throw something else because another competitor already did their winning trick
I think mike wilson's tricks are so sick. but just because his head goes below his skis a lot, the steeze patrol gets on his ass all the time. He's always in a ball never penciled, and he grabs the skis. He's the man in my opinion.
one trick is not the only thing thats gona win a comp. a bigger trick with style, or just an of axis trick with the same ammount of rotation that looks good for instance a bio 10, or a misty 10, switch, would have won. thats my opinion
The comps that I do are judged evenly on 4 things: Style, Amplitude, landing and difficulty. Usually though it is just the last three, with amplitude and landing pretty much determining all of the score. Thats why most comps are gay, some kid can come in and just go off and land a little shakey or on their tails or something, and another kid can throw a 3 and win. I think it should be 50% style 25% difficulty and 25% landing. And throw in amplitude somehow.
Well with the pros they can huck with style so it's mostly about spin to win at most comps while you do have those ones like the Candide Invitational and such that judge more upon stylie tricks.
