we're getting real close to an attack on iraq and if north korea invades south korea then we are gonna take them out too. its gonna be pretty crazy and its about time US takes action. because of us we may not have to live in fear some day down the road. and have no doubt about a two fronted war...the us is totally capable of defeating iraq and north korea at the same time. the deal is that we are going to get in there (iraq and possibly n korea) and use tactics such as surgical bombing in order to lesson the amount of civilian casualties. and if iraq does attempt to hit us with a bioweapon or a nuke then guess what...iraq is gonna be wiped off the map cause we are gonna nuke them off the planet. USA all the way.

You can't nuke iraq... I forget what the radius it is, but the radiation renders the oil useless. And I see no way in hell that we'll take unilateral action against North Korea. Too many other countries have interest in keeping them at bay, such as russia, china, and japan. We'll find a lot more help w/ North Korea than w/ Iraq.

Oh my gosh lol... well screw the Iraq argument, it's been rehashed over and over on this board. Let's talk about North Korea.

Until recently third party supervisors (I don't know if it was U.N. affiliated or what) watched over there weapon facilities, basically making sure they weren't having any thing crazy goin on... because in short... North Korea wants south korea DEAD.

North Korea had previously agreed to the supervision (some contract/treaty I can't remember), and then North Korea decided that it was to be done with. This was about 2 months ago. Heretofore, supervision was still going on, they were allowing it, there just wasn't anything official about it. Now they decided the supervision was done w/ and they have dealt away w/ all supervision including the ones where they produce weapon's grade plutonium. They've actually started producing the plutonium again, going ahead w/ their nuclear weapon's program.

Now, why do we have business w/ north korea? Well they have been on the list for a while of the seven countries that support and subsidize terrorism. The seven are Libya, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Sudan and North Korea.

The US is trying to increase pressure on North Korea to abandon their nuclear weapons program. There is no way that the US will take unilateral action. South Korea has already sent representatives to Russia and China to try to increase pressure on Pyongyang to abandon the program.

Now as far as rights... what the hell are rights. Is it what we define in our constitutions and legislation... if that's so then it's not our right to speed in our cars. If rights only apply within your country. Then we really have no right to export or import products to the country. Doing so would result in a totally unholistic system of states. But since we do do these things, it's obvious that this world exists in a holistic sense, where a concept of rights can't be defined in any vernacular sense, and must be exist and be applied in a global sense. This is the problem. There isn't a global DEFINED system of rights. A situation exists where there are a lot of conflicting views on what is right for the global system of things. That means that Bush can't say his is right because the world needs to be free from terrorism, the same way Tim's definitions of rights isn't necessarily the best set that can be used to resolve problems.

you can't say one religion is the right one, one is wrong. well, you can say it, but that's more of a feeling inside of you about what YOU THINK is right. this goes into the world scheme of rights. one religions 'rights' is to ban women from everything. a ton of others is family oriented. so anywhere you go in the world, or down your street, views are going to differ on what a persons rights are. there will never be a universal, world wide defined set of 'rights'. 'Rights' will exist in everyone's minds depending on what their religious views, political views, family views, ~~insert whatever type of views here~~. so, Timm down in new zealand will definitly have a view about everyone else, because of how he has been raised/ what he has learned up to this point.

now think about the people that are scholars, that are 'learned' people. their views tend to be toward peace (not talking about everyone, but generalized.) so, whatever way you look at things, there is never going to be 'normal'. Once his country was attacked by osama, bush went into war mode, and now, whether he is pissed at sadamm for trying to take his father out, whether he has a take over the world agenda, he is going after the people that bring terror into his own country. but he still misses the ball when it comes to education in his own country. homeless, etc, etc, etc. list goes on. that list can go on for anyone in any country at any time of the world. they have their own agendas, whether the world likes them or not.

lastly, one of my favorite quotes is from Abraham Lincoln:?ยจ'America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.'

that's enough ranting from me on this issue, so bash it or agree, that's what's great about being free.

And yes I am well informed; most experts admit that north korea very well could produce several atomic bombs within a matter of months. They just said this on CNN 5 minutes ago. it is also suspected that they had possibly 2 when they signed the treaty in 1994. you're just gonna cross your fingers and hope they can't build a nuclear bomb in the next few months? alright, i'm really tired, and i just skimmed through most of these posts, so bear with the shitty thought process here.
#1 anybody who says we should nuke iraq is a fuckin retard, and should go get hit by a car. The ramifications of using a nuclear weapon ANYWHERE would be ridiculous; there are too many people with nukes, and one bomb in iraq could set off a friggin nuclear holocaust.
#2 we have no right to impose our views on other people. Nor, however, does saddam or anyone else have the right to kill. This puts us in a tricky situation; if we go in and take saddam out of power we are transgressing beyond basic moral principles of freedom. However, if we allow him to continue poisoning his own people (which i'm not gonna go into now; this is a complicated issue for another day) we are willingly allowing saddam to deprive THEM of their basic human rights.
So, for my shitty conclusion, i say that there is no way to win. none of you are right; I know i'm being a hypocrit to say that (all you 'punk' fucks think about that one), but there is a massive gray area. Yes, the US government fucking blows, if only because of corruption on the highest levels. That doesn't mean that they can't do anytihng right; just because bush is a friggin meathead doesn't mean that him wanting to invade iraq is wrong.

do you know what it means to harbor terrorism?? there is a difference between harboring terrorist and having terrorists present in your country. the US government does not harbor terrorists...they didnt send money and bags of fertilizer to tim mcv so that he could kill all of those people. the iraq regime actually, as did afghan, provide monetary and weapons support to so called freedom fighters so that they can carry out their cause. thats harboring terrorism. the US does not harbor terrorism although obviously we have and certainly do have terrorists in our country.
