So my mom took my old boots to shop a few days ago to get my skis mounted and they wont be done for a few days..but i dont want to go back to the shop to have them adjust it and again because i wont get them back in time to ski this weekend so how can i adjust them by myself. the boots are only like one size differnt.? they are this years 177 stls if that helps
I am totally confused by that question, because quite frankly it doesn't make much sense. But what I think you're asking is "can I adjust bindings on my own to fit my boots?" and the answer is no, unless you have like rental shop demo bindings. When they mounnt them, they drill the ski for the binding for the specific sole length. Thats why you have to take your boots skis and bindings with you when you get them mounted.
hmm interesting i didn't know salomons could do that. thats pretty awesome. I knew bindings could be slightly ajusted, but i didn't know salomons could go a whole size.
Any binding can be changed over one size. Markers and Look/Rossis have a small phillips screw in the back that moves the binding forward or backward depending which way you turn it, and most others have a little metal tab the lifts up to allow the heelpiece to slide forward and backward.
i had old boots from a few years ago that my mom took to the ski show to mount my new skis BUT NOW i have new boots that she forgot about....soooo now i have to adjust them because i dont use my old boots anymore and they are a size bigger than my new ones.. so i want to see if without taking them back to the shop, if i can adjust the bindings to the new boots myself
I've have moved numerous bindings forward and back without remounting. Including Look, Salomon, Marker, so yes, you can adjust them. Although they might be alittle farther back then you wanted.
thats what i plan on doing..just moving them..cause i dont have time to bring them back to the shop to ski for next week..then after that ill bring them and have them make sure that it fits perfectly to my boots
