just got back from the wood today, it was a huck fest - big cliffs, bunch of powder - chair 1- and 6 was spinning - can it get any better than the wood - only hit a few rocks - but i always do.
i was there too...what do ya know. the cliffs right before sentinel were fuckin gnarly. but it was cold as hell up there...blowin snow all throughout the day. i got stuck on a cliff after following the ridge along sentinel and i took off my skis to hike back up and the first one just took off and flew off the cliff. that sucked. but it was a good day cept my center-mounted PE's didnt do so well in the pow. time for fat skis!
not hard packed, but it is icy because it rained on the snow and it got super cold and froze solid. Then in snowed antother 6-12 inches on top of the icy sheet. So there are definately some really hard spots, especially in the lower resort elevations.
Was there Saturday the jump line was sick, step up gap and a transpher were the big ones, and also a small rail run with a few flat-downs a log rail and a rainbow.
