Fire in firepalces

so tonight, i decided to take a break from my homwork and make a fire so it would be warm in my living room well i think i forgot to open the chimney thingy cause 10mins later our super loud fire alarm goes off nad is fucking loud!!!! so i had to get my dad to fix the chimney, I cannot make fires inside with fireplaces but yet i can make nice ones outside,lesson for me, learn how to open the chminey thingy before starting a fire
