i came up for the weekend from ohio and its been fuckin amazing. its been getting dumped on and today there was like 1-2 ft of powder...it was sweet...anyone else ski today?

go to aspen .. waist deep powder and face shots .. plus you can ski all day with first tracks..

colorado has been getting some big storms its awesome.. and tomorrow is sopposed to be just like today =)

i'll probably end up staying at breck, i probably only got around to skiing about 60% of the mountain today so i kind of want to hit the rest of it tommarow, there was some cool lines that i wanted to check out. Plus we're only here for tommarow then i gotta fly back to cinci so it'd be a hassle to rush over there

yea it is pretty cold out here heh...the first run my hands got cold then we went up the tbar to hit up the top of the mountain and it was freezing, my goggles got a layer of ice on them and i couldn't see shit and the snow was so crazy up there you couldn't see 5 feet in front of you

also right below where you get onto the tbar there was a nice booter into some pow but i only hit it once and then i never got around to going back to it. im hoping that tommarow we can go hit it and take some pics

I have been going to Breck for over 2 years, the most pow I have gotten there is maybe 8". The park is always good though.

everyone goes there for pow, that's the problem. if you know where the stashes are at, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding fresh. it's just like anywhere else in colorado that's big.

^^ Obviously, you have no idea where to look. It is always windy there sure, but that means fresh tracks EVERY RUN if you know where to look.

Yeah I was at the house in Breck all weekend. There was about 4 feet of snow on the patio between the door and the hot tub...so awesome. Saturday was amazing for sure. I got to be one of the first people to ride the new imperial lift. If you know where to look, you can find some amazing stashes.

Here's my take on Breckenridge. I lived in Keystone for a year working there, and I skied break maybe a few times a month or so on my days off. Most of the time I went to Vail. Anyway:

Breck is always fucking cold. Always. I probably skied there 20 times in 05 and every damn time it was windy and cold as shit.

The people who ski the park there are the most stuck up, poser bitches I have ever witnessed at a ski hill. I'm sorry if you ski there and I offended you, but I'm just going by what I saw when I skied there. If you weren't throwing switch shit and anything above a 7, all these punk ass kids would swear at you and tell you get the fuck off the mountain. I'm serious. Everytime this happened, it was the most intimidating park I have ever been to.
I brought my girlfriend into the park, she's a pretty good skier, but just learning jumps and rails. HOLY...SHIT...You would not BELIEVE the whining and cussing and bitching all these kids were yelling at us because I was trying to walk her through how to slide a downrail. We werent even in the way; I would tell her and then she would try, fall, then get out of the way as fast as possible. And still these kids were so hostile. Same thing happened when I was trying to teach her bigger jumps. Finally I got fed up, and walked over and told those fuckers they were ruining our day and making skiers look bad. As we were leaving a threw the biggest, smoothest cork 7 I could just to spite them.

i've never seen that happen. Brecks park is chill. and fuck yeah its intimidating the features are big and scary. Dont make breck look bad. You dont live here so you really dont know.

ummm since breck has the biggest public jumps that are pretty much perfect in Colorado, most of the best go there... and while i agree with you that brecks freeway park is big, and the kids in there are good, and the could be intimidating... if you are teaching your girlfriend rails, i think breck has 3 other parks that are smaller and meant for stuff like that... o, and if a cork 7 showed up the kids who were talking shit, then obviously not the best were there... go back on a saturday in march... then just watch... they are a lot better, and not dicks...

Seriosuly Brek IS Chill, I suck and never have taken Shit. I met Todd Richards at the top of the pipe, and he actually was giving my brother advice, and lots of people seemed to have good attitudes whenver I am there as long as your not a gaper and hit the shit

I have skied there for awhile and never had anyone talk shit to me there. The park is better set up than anywhere else so of course good people will be there. I prefer the vibe there more than keystone which just has the vibe of mostly gapers mixed with mostly poorly made/maintained shit.
