Cutting the edges on armada ar5!!! PLEASE READ!

so anyone here who knows anything about cutting the steele edges on the newest ar5's? they seem pretty sharp. so shoukd i round'em of alittle so they don't get fucked and loose on rails?

Buy a gummy stone and just run it along the edges. I think the swix ones are green.

get a soft stone and run it down from tip to tail at 45*
I cut my fuckin hands all up on the sharp ass edges when I was bringing them home from getting mounted

you don;t really "cut" your edge.
But if they are brand new you might want to de tune under the boot a bit so they don;t snag on rails.
just use a rock and lightly rub it along the edge, don't do it too much you just want to dull that sharp feeling.

^there is an argument for dulling underfoot edges first.do you really think catching that sharp edge on a rail hard enough to make you bail is good for your skis? i doubt that twisting motion that the edge would get would be good for them. Some people swear by this, others by just sliding rails. but yeah, what ^^^he said. gummy stone.

just ski on them and they will detune all on their own. in my opinion, there is no reason to take life out of your edges by excessively tune or detune edges (unless of course you can afford new skis often or have many different skis for purposes).

cause if it get stuck in the rail it might loose from the ski, sorry bout my bad english. wll, il try railing whitout cutting them. just know that when i did it on my salomon skis they got much bether to rail with, with the sharp edges they kinda got stuck in the rail sometimes. when they should not. but everyone know salomon sucks. well, thanks for the answers

yeah dulling your edges first is bettr.
