Sliding material

i looked into 2 materials for the top of a box..lexan and tivar...the guy i spoke with at the plastic facility said that lexan was brittle and when scraped would take hunks out of it...tivar is way slipperier but when scraped creates gouges which seems bad if you caught your edge...i was just wondering if anyone has tried either of theese 2 and which slides better for a box

when u make the box put 2 metal pipes on each side raised about a quater inch preserves the lexan or watever u buy

would the pipes make u not even touch the lexan or would the weight over your bindings just push ur ski onto it anyway?

no do the pipes and use the lexan under it will silid fine and ur skis will hit it
