MINI-DISC PLAYERS

i bought an md recorder. To record from the comp just buy the wire hook your sound card to the md and you're in business. Of course it helps if you have mp3's on your computer already. You can do the same from a cd player.

For me I just hook up regular rca cords to my comp and then to my mdplayer. I record from my mp3 library. For my cd player I hook up an optical cord from my stereo to the md.

Hook up Radio Shack cord from PC Speaker outlet into my MD and run WinAmp. Works like a beauty.

clay I'm gettin the $179 Sony one for Xmas...its a USB cable that plugs into a little box that converts it into a digital optic cable...its tight, then u have to set some stuff up on ure pc but u just hit record on ure MD and then play the files on ure pc...its phatt, my friend has one

or u could just get a cable to go from the line in to the plug that your speakers are usually in, and that way u don't have to install any usb software. for cd players, some have optical line out, and if u get an optical cable, u can do a synchro record onto the minidisc. my fave thing to do is set up a 5 disc changer, and record 5 cds onto one minidisc on mdlp mode. over 5 hrs of music.. can't go wrong.
