i was going to alot, but my school give out suspensions if you leave school and dont sign out. skiing a whole day and getting caugh is also suspension. NO DETENTIONS. they dont fuck around here. im scared.
i remember my senior year, the 18 year olds (i wasn't 18 in HS) couldn't sign themselves out - the school would suspend you for 3 days if you did and you'd probably fail that semester...
well i am in uni so i have like 4.5 hours of class at most per day. if it is really snowing hard then ill call an emergency pow day and cut. i have fridays off.
this week is the first time i skipped school to ski (without having a comp), and it was easily one of the best pow days i've ever had. absolutely rad in every way. plus, neither my school nor my parents have any idea.
yeah, this is the process i went through to pull it off flawlessly:
-Have buddy pick up hardgoods night before & load in truck
-In backpack, replace all books and stuff with goggles, gloves, pants, etc., stash books elsewhere
-Get mother to drive you to school, so as to give the impression you intend on learning
-Get buddy to call school, saying I'm staying home because of "family issues"
-Buddy picks me up from school
-Go shred 50 cm of the softest snow ever
-Phone mom at lunch and told her I plan on going out after school, and I might need a ride back (as to give the impression I'm not hiding anything)
-Shred some more, stomp a 20 foot cliff, land in chest deep, and proceed to continue to shred the gnar
-Drive home
-Stop at gas station in town and call mom, telling her I found a ride
-Get dropped off down the street, giving the appearance I walked home
-Friend goes home, drops skis, boots, poles off later.
-Brag to all friends that I just had the sickest day EVER while they were getting a lousy public education.
My dad doesn't ski, but hates to drive the hour to work when it snows. So, all through HS, whenever it dumped more than 10" it was decided that he'd drive me over to go skiing. He gets a day off from work, I get sick skiing, it was rad. And my school would close for just about anything, so that made it even better.
College is better, most semesters I have mon wed and fri off, so I just go ride whenever.
