snowboarders turned skiers

How many cases of this have you heard of? And what are their reasons for reverting? I see or hear of it a few times a year in different places. I think it's cool, but for the most part they aren't that good when coming back... though some still stick with skiing.
The thing that sucks is that the mainstream crowd (i.e. not in the mountain world) thinks differently. People at my work know that i'm into 'extreme' sports and always ask if im going snowboarding, even though some of them have seen videos of me skiing... they say, well you look like a snowboarder. then i have to explain the whole movement to them... how skiers have answered to the snowboarding progression and are well on the way to rising above. An entire halfpipe run is the last element that our cousins still have on us... but not for long.
thank you snowboarders for inspiring us to achieve what some before thought was impossible. making you curious and maybe even jealous enough about the freedom and style of skiing to trade in your equipment has been fun thus far, and will continue to be.

i know they did. Jp auclair can ride, but skis, and mike nick used to snowboard too. just list as many as u can so we can feel cool about ourselves.

i snowboarded down 2 runs, its not as hard as they say it is... I could carve and I droped into the steepest run on our hill(witch isn't steep at all) but my brother snowboarded for 10 years and hes got my old skis and says hes throwing cork 7s(hes probly full of shit but he was a shizzy boarder...)

i used to snowboard until last year when my brother got me into skiing... i havent looked back since... the only thing i regret is that it took me so long to realize how much fun skiing is

I used to ski when i was little to about age 11 i think, i boarded till I was 15 now i switched to skiing. I purchased the new 2003 Motherships.

I skied from about the age of 4 or 5 until I was 15, then I began snowboarding. This year, I began skiing again (telemark) and brought everything I learned as a boarder over with me.

I was helicoptered off the hill yesterday and had to spend the night in hospital. A boarder skied through some slow signs and straight into my back and they found a spinal fracture. Luckily it turned out to be old

I skied untill i was 11 or 12 and then boarded for 5 or 6 years and i was totally into it, goin to camps and shit. But then i tried skiis again 2 years ago and realized i could transfer pretty much everything back onto skiis and it was fun as hell. I fell so much more confident on skiis and therefore it allows me to try shit i wouldnt do on a board.

i tried snowboarding for two days and i was doing 180s off jumps my second day.. and that was when i was 11. wasnt very hard, but it was fun.

i ski and snowboard, i prefer to ski
until i can sell all my step in shit and buy conventional bindings i wont snowboard ever again, step in sucks and they hurt your ankles
